Tonight is the night....

There's a meteor shower!! This is probably random compared to my other posts but I just had to share this awesome momentous with my future self and those of you who actually read this....
Anyways I've always loved the idea of shooting stars and where I live it's wonderful to see any type of stars
You could say I'm obsessed with astronomy.... I mean how could someone not love the beautiful twinkling stars:D
Here's my lovely astronomical landmarks (ha that's not the right word but just work with my spazzy self for now):
7 years old- I'd wish on a star every night
10 years old- I found a book I had on astronomy and star constellations
11 years old- I was able to easily spot the big dipper
13 years old- I could spot the ursa major constellation and orion/ orion's belt
15 years old- I got a telescope
16 years old - I watched lots of discovery specials on stars:D
-I'd sit outside using my telescope looking at the stars
-I watched a lunar eclipse, it was pretty epic
17 years old - went to an isolated wilderness research place (sandhill) on a biology field trip (overnight at that) and we watched the stars and howled to the coyotes when it was freezing out
-went camping and looked at all the pretty stars there
                    - going to go watch the Perseid meteor shower:D

My history with the stars contains more wist (wow that word looks awfully with out the -ful) than mentioned, but you can obviously see it's one of my many little hobbies.... trust me that's the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the random things I do
so as of now I'm going to go set up my gear (chair, telescope, camera, ipod, bug spray, skin covering clothes, water bottle); those mosquitoes are vicious out there, wish me luck:D
it commences at 1 am the perfect time from a sleepophobic person like me
~Twinkle twinkle my Perseid meteor shower!

BTW- this will be an awesome break from previous mentioned busyness (ha never noticed how business could be pronounced as that), and in my defense I have worked on my tasks:p

  1. That's so cool that you actually went to go see that! Isn't there a double moon coming up at the end of the month too? That's exciting as well.
I love the aesthetic of astronomy. I don't know if that makes any sense. But yeah :)
